Jillian Bridge is a respected violin teacher, conductor and free lance violinist and has lived in the Campbelltown area since 1989. She studied violin in England with Ian Riley and has a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Sydney University with a major in music. Conductor of the Fisher’s Ghost Youth Orchestra for 15 years Jillian also taught chamber music at the Sydney Conservatorium Access Centre. Jillian has been a string tutor at many music camps including the State Education Departments music camps and the School Spectacular at the Entertainment Centre. She was a regular member of the local Baroque group Les Amis for many years. Jillian currently runs the string program at Mount Saint Joseph’s Girls High School and Wollondilly Anglican College. She also teaches at Chevalier College, as well as having a large number of private students.
She is a regular member of the orchestra “The Occasional Performing Sinfonia” (TOPS) and also plays for musical societies in Sydney. Jillian has been Musical Director of Macarthur Singers choir since 2007. Jillian has been with the Macarthur Strings Quartet since it began in 1995.
Jillian Bridge is an originating founder of Macarthur Strings since 1995 and has enjoyed numerous weddings playing wedding music.
